Hardware: Old computer(Laptop)-Toshiba Satellite L500, Win 7 Home Premium,SP 1, New Computer(Desktop) build: AS Rock extreme 4 Z77 mobo, Intel Core i5 3450 Ivy Bridge CPU,Crucial 16 Gb DDR3 Memory, WD Cavier Black 1 TB HD, Microsoft 5000 keyboard & mouse. OK, I used easy transfer cable to transfer all my stuff from the laptop to the desk top. This was successfully done. So I look at my desktop monitor and see the lcons from both the desktop and laptop and the wallpaper is from the laptop. There are about 5 IE icons with a number( 1,2,3...) So I click on IE 3 and get my laptop home page. So I click off and my mouse stops working. Same with the keyboard. I turn off the computer, turn it back on and click del. a lot and get the AS Rock UEFI screen. I checked everything and it seemed OK. I then exited and the computer went to safemode with the selection on" start windows normally". I went to safemode with command and my mouse started working in the safe mode. However, if I start Windows normally, no mouse. So, what do you think? Looks like I turned off something looking at the transferred laptop icons. Like some advice from the advanced members.

Since I received no help here, I finally did a clean reinstall of windows 7. I lost all data from the easy transfer but got the mouse and keyboard back. The only residual strangeness was when I reinstalled Privzer, the screen went wild during the first operation, Flashing colored lights that scrolled. Shutting down the computer stopped it. I uninstalled Privzer and had no other problems.
