easybcd does not download/save?

went to download easybcd. clicked on download. save file dialog came up. clicked save. nothing happened, no downloader window, not on computer, search could not find it, visual search of download folder and desktop could not find it. so where did it go?

that program screwed things up worse....

moved the boot control to c and now win 7 will not boot. details in that other thread tho
