Solved Edit, convert, author, compress, burn and finalize with one program?

If only I could edit, convert, author, compress, burn and finalize with one program. That would be nice. Then I could play the disc on any DVD player.

I wish Windows Live Video Editor would compress to burn to the capacity of a disc.

Because it doesn't, so far I've had to follow these steps:

1) edit recorded video on Win Live and convert to wmv files.
2) Since version 9 isn't recognized by DVD Flick (only the video) I have to first convert to AVI
3) Burn the AVI version to disc using DVD Flick. It works but my image is now about 1/4 size of the original!

and it takes a LOT of time!!!

Have a look at Latest DivX, Xvid, DVD, Blu-ray News, Guides and Downloads - Digital Digest, especially the Articles or Software pages. You should be able to find some pointers there.

Otherwise, maybe a full suite such as Nero is the right thing for you.

Thanks for a tip. It turns out I can burn straight from WMC. I didn't know that til after I posted this.
