I could be VERY wrong here, but I seem to remember that when I had a 9800GT which supports up to Dx10 (I think), my DxDiag still showed me that I had Dx11 installed. I think that's normal? I think what happens is that if you install a new game (which supports Dx11) it will update your Dx to the newest version with the files that come on the disc, and even if your card doesn't support the features exclusive to Dx11 it will show that the version is indeed 11. I.e. you can have Dx11 without having the features specific to that version.

I could be completely wrong here so please someone else comment if you know!

Regarding downgrading, I don't think that's possible from within Windows as there shouldn't be a need to do it (for the reason above - assuming I'm right about that), and it can't be uninstalled by any normal means. There are software suites which can remove all Dx files from your system and replace them with the ones on your Windows disc (provided you have one) but I've tried one of these and it really messed with a lot of stuff so I personally wouldn't recommend it.

BTW have you tried simply updating your graphics drivers from the Nvidia website?

Ahh right sorry I was too eager to post and missed that part! Sorry. Well then it might be worth updating the DirectX on your computer from the Windows website? I imagine the emulator uses the DirectX that's on your computer and if it's not compatible with the DirectX on the card its emulating then that might cause problems? Although I am guessing a bit now...

It's not advice I know but I imagine that running games on emulated cards opens up whole new worlds of stability problems, none of which I am familiar with unfortunately. Maybe try emulating some different GPUs?

I believe there is something called OLDblivion or something that helps the game run on very low spec systems, admittedly it probably makes the game look like someone ported it the Spectrum or something but it might allow you to play it on your notebook with no emulation.
