1. excuse my English

2. I have an user on my win7(Prof.) machine. The user is in the Administrators Group. I mounted a networkdrive with this user.

Now I try to copy some files (Lotus Notes) from my Backup on the networkdrive to my system partition. To write into the folder on the system partition the UAC asks for my "OK" .. but if I do so, copying fails because I can't acces my network drive with the elevated user I am after the UAC elevation prompt.

Is it a bug or a feature? Why do i loose my "right" if I am elevated to do this task as an admin?

Did you have to enable your Administrator account? I know that in Vista the Local Administrator account was disabled by default.

It's actually not the account named "Administrator" I mean. The PC is part in a domain and the user I use is in the Administrators Group. I am able to do administrative stuff after beeing elevated by the UAC .. but whats weird is that after I've been elevated to continue the copy task I loose the rights I had on accessing the net drive which I mounted with the user before beeing elevated.
