Email Notification Program

Hello Friends

Can someone point me to something equivalent of Notify 2.1 for Windows 7.

I've been searching for hours, and found nothing good.

I plan on using it Gmail mostly.

Any help would be great.

For Chrome or Opera:
X-notifier

If you don't want a browser plugin but a standalone program, get Thunderbird

That's not an equivalent to Notify. What you have linked to still requires me to have my browser open. I don't want that. I want something that can sit in the bottom right hand corner of the Taskbar.
