Embed subtitles to MP4?

Does anyone know of a program i can embed an srt subtitle file into a MP4 video. If its not possible I also ahve a m2ts copy that i can convert to mp4 after it has the subtitles.

It is possible to add soft subtitles to .mp4. this can for example be done with mp4box

mp4box tough doesnt support .ass as input, so you need to
1) convert .ass to .srt
2) convert .srt to .ttxt with mp4box
3) edit the .ttxt by hand to include all the funky stuff like colors or whatever funky stuff was in your source .ass
4) mux the .ttxt to .mp4 with mp4box

if you dont care about colors aso you can also mux the srt directly to mp4 with mp4box

Edit: I tried using YAMB, and it got the subtitles into the video, but now it wont play through my TV on a USB. It did before, but now it wont. Would reconverting it with the subs in it work?

Have you tried Suprip to convert to srt?

Not sure about YAMB, but I use MeGUI, and it has a MP4 muxer (based on MP4box) that allows the addition of srt subs.

MeGUI is a encoder, but the Muxer may be useful for you.

You may also want try a MKV container. many times the MKV container will work better for videos with subs.

Yea I have 2 copies. the original is an mkv, and the new one is an mp4. I would rather use the mkv because i converted it to mp4 to play on my TV, but it didnt even work. So I owuld like to embed subtitles into the mkv, then convert it to a format that me Series 6 LED TV will play.
