Enable Wireless Card

The built in wireless card on my Gateway LT21 is disabled, which I could normaly fix, but the physical on/off wireless comunications button is literally broken off, and Gateway says, "this is not a consumer replacable part." All I need to do is turn back on wireless comunications, but I can't a way to do that inside windows. Please help asap. Thanks!

Start, type "network connections" and press enter. Right click your disabled wireless connections and select "enable".

If the physical endble/disable wireless switch is broken, there is nothing you can do in software to enable it, sorry. Just wen through this with a Toshiba laptop. The only fix I know of is to have the switch replaced. Thre may be some computer shops that can do this but in the case of the Toshiba, it was soldered to the motherboard so you need someone with really good soldering skills or just replace the board.

May be time to consider a usb wireless dongle for your connection issue.
