Enabling lock screen

I figure this is a simple question but I like how the setup works so far, just want it to go to the next step.


There are two users on the computer for either one the screen will shut off after the same time.


But the screen won't lock. Just move the mouse and it goes back to the user's desktop instead of the lock screen with the two logos.

no. thanks anyway.

user1 walks away then screen blanks after 15 min.

move the mouse and its right back at their desktop.


I want to move the mouse but have the lockscreen come up instead.


when the monitor turns off I want the profile to get locked out (but not logged off)

I see what you mean now, sorry. Try this:

1. Type "screen saver" in the Start menu search field and click "Change screen saver." Check the box next to "On resume, display logon screen," even if your screen saver is set to "(None)" and set the Wait time.

2. Type "turn off display" in the Start menu search field and click "Change when to turn off display." Set the times for "Turn off the display:" to the same number of minutes as the Wait time in the previous step.

Now, hopefully, your computer will lock and the display will turn off simultaneously. I'm not sure that's the easiest way of doing it, but let me know if it works for you.
