Enabling Windows Classic Theme causes massive black box

When I enable Windows Classic Theme, either manually or automatically through a program, I lose a good 2/3 of the monitor under a massive black box. Re-enabling an Aero Theme doesn't bring back the display. When I try re-installing my graphics driver, I usually can get Classic Theme going without messing up my display too much until I shut down my desktop and turn it on again. Things like Discord message reply notifications are still messed up, it looks kind of like the old Windows Solitaire game when the cards are flying out after you've won. On what I believe to be a related note, I've been having issues with Discord for a while now where about half of the bar on the left where all the various channels are flickers from black to gray, and things like the notifications on the various servers aren't red, you just see the number on the background. Then, the whole screen will flicker back and forth between having all of the content on the screen and not, until it kind of "resets" itself by flickering once for about 5 seconds and then going back to normal.

I thought reinstalling the graphics driver would be the culprit, and it seems to fix something, but it doesn't appear to be the actual cause, and I'm not sure what to do next. Thank you in advance.

tl;dr Windows Classic causes massive display issue, Discord has other display issues that I believe are related, reinstalling graphics driver helps temporarily but doesn't solve the issue.

It could be the Desktop Windows Manager (DWM.exe). Or it's the GPU driver. You could always try a new driver.

Run this batch file to reset DWM and see if that fixes anything.
