Endless loop trying to install

Hi all,

I just bought an Asus Eee Box 1501 with Windows 7. When I power it up, it takes me to the first install screen, then gives me an error message saying that the computer wasn't properly shut down, and to press ok to restart it and proceed with the installation. So, I press ok, it reboots, and gives me the same error message, and it won't get out of this loop. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Sounds like something in the installation failed, though I could be wrong.

My suggestion is that if you just bought it, bring it back, it is under warranty. If you start to make changes, they will void the warranty. If you are not successful in trying to return, we can help you. Just my two cents and what I would do.

I realize it's unlikely you were given a Win7 install DVD needed to run a Repair Install, so perhaps burning a Repair CD (type into Start Search box) to boot and run Startup Repair will accomplish what is needed.

If not, I'd contact Tech Support to get their help on it unless you can get your hands on a Win7 install DVD of your version to run the Repair Install.
