Entire drive shared, but only the first few folders available.

My entire D drive is shared and accessible to other computers hardwired to the Verizon router. But only the first few folders show up over a wireless laptop connection. One laptop runs WinXP, the other Win8.1. Both behave the same way. Of course the D drive is on a Win7 machine. I tried to fool the gremlin by placing lower folder inside ones that were visible, but they did not appear on either laptop. Any ideas?

Wired or wireless shouldn't matter with a shared drive.

Have you tried resetting the router because this seems like more of a router glitch type of deal.
