Hi, Have been using W7 RC 64bit system with no major problems except i cant get a driver for an Epson Photo Scanner.Epson have said no driver until the official release of W7..Is there some way around this.Thanks in anticipation.

Windows Virtual PC: Download Finally got it working OK.

Used Windows Virtual PC...Windows XP Mode beta within Win 7. Hope this may help someone with XP programmes...cheers

I installed the Vista driver/software that came with my Perfection 4490 Photo scanner using compatibility mode. Works fine.

Insert the CD, kill the autorun when it starts and use Windows Explorer to look for "setup.exe" on the CD. Right click, select compatibility mode, set "Vista" and click on OK until you get back to where the setup will start. That should bring up the Epson installation menu.

Installing the wrong epson 4490 software in w7 64bit

Hi Ronal,
thank you for your great idea. I just got this scanner and installed the not compatible version in my pc with w7 64bit. Of course, I did not run. I then installed the correct software/driver, but still is not working.
I'll try your idea and see how it works out.
