Epson Workforce 610 Scanner Problems

Hello - I have an Epson Workforce 610 All In One Printer/Scanner

I also have a Windows 7 Pro PC.

Windows installed all the driver fine however when I try to scan using Epsons Scanning software it will not scan.

The weird thing is that when you use a Freeware software it will open the Epson scan software and scan just fine.

Am I missing something that just scanning using the Epson Scan softeware won't work?
