Has anyone experienced the problem of losing work when deleting a single letter? Time and again I have written a sentence, go to delete a word or letter only to find most of the sentence and beyond vanishes. Only the "Undo" button saves the day, except in IE8 online (commenting in newpapers) when it is usually gone for good.

Is it Windows 7 not behaving properly with my ancient Microsoft Office keyboard? It's driving me nuts as I have to often re-author work and sometimes cannot recapture the feel of what was lost.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Ed

Yes, I would definitely suggest borrowing a "newer" keyboard from a friend for a week or so and see if that is the problem. If so, splurge and by a new one for 20 bucks :)

Sarcastic question (maybe?) : When you hit the delete key, you don't like.. hold it down do you? HAH

No I don't hold down the delete key too long and yeh, a new keyboard is the better option. The only other keyboard near me is even older!! BTW, no offence taken. :)

"Do you save your work under a good name?"

I bet there's a joke in there somewhere, but when commenting on articles at online newspaper websites, one does not 'save'.

For what it worth. I have found that using Microsoft key boards and or mouse work better than others when using a M/S operating system. I have used several brands and have found that the operating system will not let all the drivers to be installed. My last attempt was Logitech blue tooth and I had to return it and get a M/S mouse and keyboard combo blue tooth. Loaded every thing quick and smoothly and have had no problems. It's been about a year now.
