Error 0x000000ED blue screen

Hi guys

I am using window 7 32 bit home premium and facing a problem about which I did some research and everywhere I found the same solution ie is using chkdsk from recovery using recovery discs

This is my problem
STOP 0x000000ED(0x877959C0,0xC0000185,0x00000000,0x00000000)
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

However I am not even able to boot using recovery discs ...and I even tried live fedora disc also but laptop is not booting with that also
When i try to boot using recovery discs , it waits for a while but ends up booting from hard drive..Please advice me what shud I do, my main concern is regarding my data in hard disk.

Of course there is no backup correct?

Have you changed the boot device priority to the dvd player in Bios?

yes i dont have backup

yes i have changed boot options and now first on list is dvd drive

no its not booting for dvd .. thats the main problem
if this is solved half of my problem will be solved i guess
