Where "LOUNGE" is the name of the PC in my home network.

Tried various registry fixes.
Tried deleting homegroup and rejoining it on my laptop.
Tried deleting network adapter drivers and re-installing.
Tried restarting the ADSL modem.
Tried adding netbios over TCP/IP

Tried all the fixes I have found by googling the error.

Nothing works and I still can't access my PC from my laptop.

Are there any non-common causes for this error?

Does any one know how to fix the MF'ing error when all the fixes for the common causes fail????

What about this PC in your home network? Is it using Windows 10 or other OS? Can you ping the IP address of the PC from your Laptop?

You are lacking this Solution - had you tried this solution with Credential Manager?

I tried ALL the above suggestions to no avail but in my case the following worked for my situation.
Go to Control Panel
Go to Credential Manager on each Windows 7 machine on the network
Under Windows Credentials, type in the name of each machine, username and password
It sounds too simple but it worked for me. The shared files and folders popped right up after this!

Have you tried using System Restore on the computer?

System restore could be used to put the computer back to its original state before recent Updates were applied. This also is known to work for some people.

Hi boylesg,

Welcome to SevenForums!

There is a known problem with one of the latest updates causing this issue. Downloading KB4487345 has worked for a few people! Download KB4487345 from here => MS Update Catalog KB4487345.

If this problem is recent, you can use System Restore to roll back the OS to a date prior to the problem happening. This could possibly resolve your problem.

Other people who have been experiencing Error code: 0x80070035 [The network path was not found] have found that the following solution works for them:

[1] Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Centre > Change advanced sharing settings, turn everything OFF under Home or Work (current profile) and Public [make a note of what you are turning OFF].
[2] Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > expand Network Adapters > right-click Uninstall > uninstall ALL Network adapters.
[3] Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Action [main menu] > Scan for hardware changes.
[4] Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Centre > Change advanced sharing settings, turn everything back ON under Home or Work (current profile) and Public that you turned OFF in [1].

You might also find this useful => Error code: 0x80070035 - The network path was not found.

I hope this helps!
