Error 0x80070424 windows defender

Hi

A few days ago I used my friend's USB stick and I think it contained virus because after that my laptop automatically restarted and my Windows Defender didnt turn on and I encountered this error : " The specified service does not exist as an installed service. ( error code : 0x80070424) and also my Windows Update and Firewall didnt turn on either. I tested almost all the solutions that was mentioned in this site and the Windows Defender doesnt appear in services.msc. I thought maybe somebody can help me with this.

Hi atie.

Could you put in your My System Spec what security programs you have installed. That will give us some idea of what to recommend for security programs and scans. Some infection will turn off security programs and updates trying to protect itself.

Windows 7 built in Defender is pretty much useless.

What should of been on your friends USB flash stick according to your friend?
