Hello everybody, I have already read lot's of 0x80070570 threads and I think my case is sort of different here. I'm using a ASUS P5VD1-X motherboard, Pentium 4 3GHz, 1Gb RAM, Geforce 7600 GS. I had success on installing Windows 7 first, but I had to format the computer short after because of a virus that disabled any antivirus and firewall. Then, when I formatted the computer and tried to install Windows 7, i just have this error 0x80070570 at 4% of Expanding data. The problem is not in the DVD, as i had it installed a short time before. I can't understand why can't I install it now! I tried disabling all USB ports but it didn't work. I do not understand a lot about hardware but I can find things out with a little time. Hope someone can help, thanks a lot.

so are you unable too boot to disk now? Do you have the option to "format" again?
were you using multiple partitions?

i'm able to boot normally. I don't have the option to format again. And yes, i'm using multiple partitions, 3 at all. C:/ is intended to the OS, and the other 2 ones are full with music and other data.

What I don't understand is that your post says your installation fails at "4% expanding", yet you can "boot normally"?

I would boot to disk again, delete the current "broken c:". Create new partition as c:\ "full format" then attempt the install again.

The 100Mb system partition is created automatically with windows 7. How far did the installation get this time? did the error change?
