Error 1663

Updating Skype to the latest version I get a 1663 error. All the fixes I see at Google require me buying a Registry Cleaner.
MY experience in the past is after purchasing the cleaner the error was not fixed.
How, without buying a repair program, can I correct the error.

I would not use any registry cleaner except the Registry tab on CCleaner. Most others are sales operations with no true genius behind them.

Be sure to read the text results in Google and not the ads to the side. Google the exact wording and identifier of the error.

Try rightclick running as Adminstrator.

I went so far as "restoring" to 5 days ago. Apparently the corruption or whatever was there then. I have tried to find s download for Windows Installer, thinking the problem may be in there. Can't find it.
