Error 1719

If anyone can help with issue, would greatly appreciate it. When attempting to open any microsoft program, such as word or excel, I get the error 1719 that is listed in several of the forums. Have attempted to apply the fixes mentioned, but nothing seems to be working. I'm using a Sony Vaio with the intel I5 and Windows 7.
