Error 1935 installing Endnote X3

Hi - I'm trying to install Endnote X3 on my HP elitebook 8530w with a clean install of Win 7 Ultimate N, but keep getting the following error.

Error 1935. An error occurred during installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.CRT, Type=win32, processorArchitecture=x86, publictokenkey="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", version="9.0.30729.1". Please refer to help and support for more information

Seems like MS should have fixed this by now, but in the meantime this does the trick: Gizmdo: win-7-tip-fix-that-msi-installer-bug-and-get-apps-running-again

1. Open a Command Prompt as Administrator
2. Type reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions /va /f and press enter.

(Note that if you RC on the CMD window and enable quickedit, you can paste into the window by RC anywhere instead of typing)

I got it working by following the instructions in this article, it seems like quite a few programs throw the 1935 error: Microsoft Office 2010 encountered an error during setup: Error 1935 and 0x80070005
