Error 80072F8F - Windows Update

Hello Everyone,

My Windows 7 has been working perfect for the last few months, but recently I upgraded to a faster internet package and started receiving the following error code whenever doing Windows Update:

80072F8F

I tried googling and messing / updating my system clock and a few other tasks to no avail, anyone able to solve this issue successfully?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You could also try this Microsoft Fixit: Fix broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks if, and only if, the advice above does not work, as it does mention your error code as included.
