Hi,

Can't install KB4534310 and KB4539601 and I tried all the fixes I found but nothing seems to work. I'm trying to upgrade to Win 10, but it won't upgrade until updates are installed.

Ran sfc /scannow - no problems

I ran dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

I've attached the CheckSUR.log seems like a lot of updates can't be found. I tried to install each update manually but most of the updates say "This update is not applicable to your computer".

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks
Steve

Please run MSinfo32 and save the file as a .nfo. Post the .nfo here.

Go to Control Panel, Windows Update. Set the updater to Never Check for Updates. Reboot and then try installing those updates.

You've got major problems with QuickBooks. It looks like you have a version that's not compatible with Win 7. If you want to use it, I suggest uninstalling it and then right click on the installation .exe file and select Properties. Set the Compatibility Mode to Vista/XP. Also, set it to "run as administrator." Apply the changes.

Also, I would run msconfig and, in the Startup tab, disable all the Quickbook items (apply the changes and reboot). I don't see any reason to have them running on startup.

I noticed that you have all kinds of things stopped. For example, you have .net framework 2 stopped and .net framework 4 installed. Any program requiring .net framework 3.5 or earlier won't work. I would suggest installing .net framework 3.5 to accommodate the latter programs.

Some other things like UPNPHost, Windows Event Collector, etc. should probably be started and set to Automatic. Just a short list.

I would also run dxdiag.exe and look in the 64 bit folder to see if all the directx options are enabled and if there are any problems noted.

I'm going to start with all your recommendations, but I'm curious about the Quickbooks comment. I'm using QB 2019, the version is meant to run on win 7 and win 10 and I use it daily. QB only makes a 32bit program, I know it absurd but they do not make a 64bit version, is this why you are saying its not compatible with Win7?

My error regarding QB version. :o I was going by the version of the faulting file and apparently the newer versions use the same file. Most of these errors seem to come from driver verifier and, since they occur up to 5 times a day but usually less, I'm guessing they're occurring upon startup of QB. There's also a few from Outlook and MBAM. If you're not having any problems with these programs, then I'd leave it alone.
