Error 800B0100 on 4 Updates

Hey guys,

For over a month, I've been trying to fix my Windows Update that always shows the 800B0100 error. I've done all the things that I could, including the System Readiness Tool and all of the other things to no avail. Could someone help me out a bit? Thanks.

1. Download and save this tool to your desktop:

2. Run the tool, and then click 'Copy' - ignore any errors if they appear

I don't see any issues in the MGADIAG that would prevent the updates running. What error is reported when you run the System Readiness Tool?

There is actually no error when the System Readiness Tool runs. It installs KB947821, it says installation complete, but I still get error 800B0100 in Windows Update.

800B0100 is a very nice error to fix, and we should be able to wrap this up in a post or two. Could you post the System Update Readiness Tool log please? It is found here:

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

Windows Update Package Replacement

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

1. Please download the attached file, Packs.zip and save this to your Desktop.
2. Right-click on the file and select Extract All...
3. Tick the box labelled Show extracted files when complete then click Extract
4. A window will open showing two folders, Manifests and Packages
5. Open the Manifests folder and copy the files into the following folder (if there are any files)
   
   C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests
   
   
6. Open the Packages folder and copy the files into the following folder (if there are any files)
   
   C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages
   
   
7. Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again
8. When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT log into your next post please:
   
   C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

You will probably be shown the error code 0x8024200D after performing this fix, if so, please download and install the update from this link. It must be downloaded using Internet Explorer.

Here is the log, 2 updates installed, 2 did not. I am going to restart my computer to apply those updates and I'll try the manual installs of the other.

I manually installed one of the updates, but 7753 still gets the 800B0100 error and it would not install after downloading it from IE.

Sorry for the delay. The problem that I'm facing here is that the update that you are having problems with has been updated since the version that you have downloaded. Microsoft no longer host the version of the update that you have installed (the one which I would need to get the files from), they now how the V2 update which doesn't have the correct file.

Usually they're hosted elsewhere, but I can't find this one anywhere. I even extracted the files from a Windows 7 ISO in the hope that they were there but unfortunately they're not. I hate to admit defeat, but the only option that I'm left with is to suggest a repair install:
