Error 961 when conecting to internet.

I jst bought a new wired internet connection. But when I try to connect it says error 961 - The remote connection was denied because the user name and password combination you provided is not recognized, or the selected authentication protocol is not permitted on the remote access server.
but when i try with my cousins' laptop it works perfect
i'm trying to sove this from last 4 days ,also reinstalled Windows bu not working
