please help me with this issue, i have tried to install the following updates and it failed multiple times, i don't know what to do.

Service pack 1 redistributable package (KB2538243)

update for MS XML Core Services 4.0 Service pack 2 for x64-based Systems (KB973688)


update for MS XML Core Services 4.0 Service pack 2 for x64-based Systems (KB954430)

Have you run the disk cleanup tool?

i have ran the disk cleanup and tried to install them again. it still failed.

If that doesn't help then use the MS tool and steps here: reset Windows Update components

Try running MS Standalone Service Pack 1 installer normally for developers, but useable in these situations to manually install SP1.

If that fails then what works for me in the past is a Repair Install

i downloaded the MS Fix-it and ran a scan, then tried to install the updates again. most of them installed, i ran the scan again and all of them where then installed.
