Hello!

Did SP1 complete, or did it fail?

Code:
C:\Users\Richard>err 800736CC
# as an HRESULT: Severity: FAILURE (1), Facility: 0x7, Code 0x36cc
# for hex 0x36cc / decimal 14028 :
  ERROR_SXS_FILE_HASH_MISMATCH winerror.h
# A component's file does not match the verification
# information present in the
# component manifest.
# 2 matches found for "800736CC"

That is not great news.

Please copy the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder to your Desktop, right click on it > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder, and upload the new file which is created on your Desktop here.

Thanks a lot!

Richard

Hello!

Can you copy and paste the folder to your Desktop, or not? Often you can, but usually you can at least see inside the CBS folder.

Thanks a lot!

Richard

No problem! I will be around whenever! Just copy the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder to your Desktop, right click on it > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder, and upload the new file which is created on your Desktop here, and I shall take a look at it for you!

Thanks!

Yes SP1 did complete in the end, but I can't remember how I did it, I remember I had trouble with the memory so the shop replaced it. I seem to remember that was the problem.
