emmett82, it is a warning of a possible bad sector on the hard drive. I would just continue to monitor it, it is possible that it will be written over by the hd.

It is a warning that all may not be well with the drive. There may be problems in the future, or not. Right now there is no way of knowing. What you should do is ensure you have at least one backup copy of all important files. Files of particular importance need 2 or backup copies. You shouldn't need a SMART warning to do this but if you do, this is it.

Maybe im wrong but, if we add an exception of bad sector

The hdd will work or not,when smart fail mean mechanical failure.

Instead this trouble the hdd is working fine !?!

If you plug internal hdd in usb adapter or external usb hdd if the drive is bad all explorer will stop responding.

I troubleshooted many hdd, and its very rare a full blown hdd.

I have seen maybe 2 in my life.

The drive runs fine I have no errors or hang ups I'm runninh it at max power n spin speed and I constantly defrag

Constantly defraging an hdd is very bad for the longevity.
Its like a user A have hdd but use correctly and the user B have hdd but keeping copying many stuff

User B will result a badd hdd more fast than User A
Its same for defragging
Normaly you defrag once at year

i defrag like once a month or once every 3 monthes
