I just downloaded the Office 2010 Beta and tried to install it. I took the option to leave my current installation of Office 2007. It started and then through the following error at the end and rolled everything back.

Error 1935. An error ocurred during the installation of assembly component
{167A8BB9-1A64-362B-8E09-4FD881F0108E}. HRESULT:0x80070091

Any ideas?

There seems to be quite a few issues when trying to install the beta on systems that have or have had a previous version of Office on them. The only way I got it to install on my system was using a program called RipOutOffice2007, then going in and deleting all of the Office folders from my Program Files directories.

If you want to keep your 2007 install, then this is not a method you want to use. Hopefully someone can give you some advice on getting them running side by side.

I did finally get it installed side by side with 2007. I took the customize option and then changed the path of the install to another folder. Both version are now working fine.

Had the same problem installing Office 2010. Solved by downloading the update file. Installed without problems as administrator - I had the 2007 version installed from before.
