Error installing acrobat printer

Hi,
i've installed the Acrobat printer without problems in Windows Xp but i keep getting this error

when installing it in windows 7 sp1 64.
I install it from Start- devices & printes- add printer -> add local printer-> create a new port-> local port-> give name-> go to the printer directory-> click on Adobepdf.inf-> select first (or any other) adboe pdf convert-> Get Error

Any ideas, thanks

Persep, normally Acrobat installs the acrobat printer as there are several (or a lot) of files that it has to install. I would verify that the version of acrobat that your trying to install is supported in windows 7 x64.

Older ones won't install in a 64 bit machines, or at least most won't.

I did find out that error 0x000000002 means there are files missing but I found it impossible to install the printer annually in any windows 7 as it was my intention

Persep, did you run the acrobat install program from the cd?

If not then that could be the reason that files are missing.

What version of acrobat are you trying to install?

It's a acrobat.exe and that's it. There is also a directory to install the pdf printer but it doesn't work in win 7

I guess the next question is where did you get the program "acrobat.exe"

Or you look for it (Google) or you make it yourself, the portable version not acrobat

The bottom line is that if adobe did not have it for download, then you are being scammed. acrobat is a registered tradmark of adobe and any acrobat.exe that you download from anywhere else is most likely a fake and could get more than you wish from it. IE.. loaded with a trojan or virus.

There are free or very cheap pdf printers that people use and are legitimate but they don't call themselves acrobat.exe.


If you tried to run acrobat.exe, I recommend that you run malwarebytes to check your computer for trojans and virus's.

is the site to get the latest version.

Be careful of downloading free pdf writers as google search is full of scam sites.
