So I recently reinstalled a version of windows 7 ultimate onto my computer and I have been reinstalling all my old software and when I went to use a flash based program (non-browser) it gave me the error. I have since then downloaded all types of Flash available but I cannot seem to fix this. Any suggestions?

Welcome to our forum SKane.

It could be helpful if you let the good folks here know exactly what programs need to use flash player.

Adobe Flash is a huge security risk. What program are you using that requires flash player? Is there an alternative that you know of?

Thank you Ladyback Bear for the welcome.

As far as to what program, it is called Carbon and is a client to play an online MMORPG game.

Empire Software.
While I'm aware that Adobe Flash Player is a security risk, the aforementioned client program requires it. Yes there are.variations of it, it itself is a variation, but they all use Flash Player as does the game. The browser flash works but the program's won't.

The pop-up error box is titled "SWFKit Player" and the description is "Failed to load the Adobe Flash Player".

I have downloaded the following Adobe programs:
Shockwave Player 12.2
Flash Player 20 NPAPI
Flash Player 20 PPAPI
AIR
Creative Cloud.

I'm not a gamer but the information you posted should help those that do game understand things better. The better they understand the better they can help.
Just hang in there.

No idea of what exact game is or the exact requirements (you have to check with its documentation to be sure), but if I have to do a blind shot I would try the ActiveX (used by Internet Explorer among others programs) flavor of Flash instead of NPAPI or PPAPI. ActiveX is used by a wide variety of programs, not just browsers while NPAPI is pretty much a standard for browser plugins and nothing else.
