Error message

I tried to load Quake 4 and I get "Library not registered". I've play this game in Windows 7 since Windows 7 came out and I needed to load it again for some reason and now I get an error message and I even tried loading it on Vista and XP and end up with 0x80040702 which is suppose to be a registry problem but can't fix it with a program because I don't want to be connected to the Internet becuase I'm just trying to make a game machine.

Are you installing from a CD?

If you're installing from a CD then you need to explore or open the CD and find the setup file.

Right click the setup file and choose "run as administrator".

That has worked for others.

Also make sure your DX files are updated - Update your Direct X files (June 2010)
