Error when installing Windows 7 Pro from MSDN AA

I recently downloaded the iso of Windows 7 64-bit Professional from my University's MSDN AA site. However when I boot up using the DVD it states an error in the Windows Boot Manager.

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem

1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Status: 0xc0000225
Info: An unexpected error has occured.

I have looked at other threads on this board and I have already tried toggling ACPI but there was no change. (It currently is set on and set to both S1&S3)
I have tried 3 different burns of the DVD a 16x using Nero 7 Express and 4x using Nero 7 Burning Rom, and lastly a 4x using ImgBurn and all of them turned out the same error.

I was formerly using Windows XP on my IDE drives listed on my hardware and I added the 1TB Sata to install windows 7 on, (however my IDE with XP Pro is still connected). I have also tried only having the Sata drive connected but it still amounts to the same error.

Any help would be appreciated.

When you tried with the IDE drives disconnected, were you starting over from scratch - including a format of the target drive?

I would even go a step further and delete the partition, recreate it and format.

I believe, that when I tried from scratch my drive was just out of the box, I hadn't formatted it. The only way I have been able to format it was using the WD Lifeguard utilities while using windos, for some reason my bios wasn't recognizing the CD as bootable to do it outside of the OS. I just tried it with the fresh formatted drives and still the same issue. To make things clear, the process for installing is:
BIOS
Boot from CD
Loading Files
A screen stating "Starting Windows"
Then the error screen.

There is also an option to continue but it comes up with a screen for:
Choose an operating system to start...
Windows Setup [EMS Enabled]

Tools:
Windows Memory Diagnostic

It almost seems as if the install CD thinks its already copied the neccessary files onto the boot drive, since all other installations of windows have 2 stages, the initial installation setup where everything is primarily text on a blue screen (neccessary files just get copied over and the agreement license) and then the setup procedure where it looks like low level graphics (setup user, region, network settings, etc)

Sorry forgot to note, choosing Windows Setup [EMS Enabled] just leads me back to the error message again.

I have the same issue..

Here is how I came about it:

I had windows 7 dual booting with Ubuntu 9.10. I bought new ram, installed it and my computer would no longer boot even in to BIOS. After fussing with switching the ram around, dusting my machine, resetting BIOS with the reset jumper, I finally got my computer to boot up. Grub2 somehow got reset, i'm assuming when i reset the bios?? not sure, but windows 7 now seemed as though it was starting to load, and boom...

I tried using the install DVD which leads me to the same error. I swapped the ram around to the original configuration... Still no luck. I booted into Ubuntu using the live cd to restore GRUB2. In Ubuntu using Gparted, I deleted the windows partition. Now when I start my computer, GRUB2 loads and I still have the Windows 7 option in the boot menu, but the partition has been completely wiped and i have updated GRUB. If i click on windows 7 anyway, it takes me right back to the same error...

Please let me know if you find a solution to this. Thanks.

If you want to reinstall WIn7, you need to uninstall GRUB until after it is installed.
