Solved Errors after cloning.

[FONT=&quot]Win 10. Business client. CANNOT WIPE and Reload! They have obscure software that they cannot reinstall [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]I imaged and fabs'd a 3 TB Seagate drive that is showing errors on the drive.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I have cloned the drive, which completed without error, but after 2 cloning attempts I get the same error:[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]"Your PC needs to be repaired.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed."[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Error code: 0xc000000e[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]I've booted from a Win 10 USB to run bootrec.exe.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Running bootrec /fixmbr is successful, but I get an "access is denied" error trying to run bootrec.exe /fixboot.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]bootrec /rebuildbcd finds 1 Windows installation but if I type "y" it errors with "the requested system device cannot be found".[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]iv'e run diskpart with:[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]sel disk 0[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]list vol[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]sel vol 0[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]assign letter = C[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]exit[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]cd /d :\EFI\Microsoft\Boot returns error "the system cannot find the path specified"[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]bootrec /fixboot give Access denied error again[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]It's a GPT partitioning scheme with C, (Windows RE) D (Windows) E, (unassigned) F, (Recovery Im), System (unasigned), G (Unasigned hidden) H, Unasigned.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Any help appreciated.[/FONT]

cd /d :\EFI\Microsoft\Boot returns error "the system cannot find the path specified"

the path on the esp partition is EFI\Boot\bootx64.efi

1. to fix the drive letter using nt6repair in my boot media

win7x64 boot media
17514x64v26.iso

win10x64 boot media
1904v3.iso

either of the above linked iso files are best extracted to bootable usb e.g. using this : View attachment 419747

select the non booting windows partition in the dropdown, then click FIX

2. To fix the boot critical files

use diskgenius to find the ESP device path and copy it

then open admin cmd and type

bcdboot nonbootingwindowsdriveletter:\windows /s ESPdevicepath

e.g. bcdboot c:\windows /s \Device\HarddiskVolume1
