Errors, crashes.

Hey everyone. I just installed windows 7 64bit on my new pc. But i've been "attacked" by problems, errors, crashes since i started the installation. First alot of those BSOD errors came, then i plugged out a ram and the installation when smooth. But then after the installation i decided to try and plug my ram in again, and i were being attacked by the same again. For some reason the one of those ram "ports/channels" on my motherboard is now damaged and if i plug a ram into that one i recieve a those BSOD errors again, but the thing im wondering is how can a installation of win 7 damage my motherboard ?

It cant. the ram probably just went bad. Happens all the time especially with 64 bit systems., and especially if overclocked.

Is there any fix for this as its kinda sad, the only reason i upgraded from windows vista 32bit to windows 64bit were to get use of my 4GB ram fully, but now i end up with only 2GB

It is doubtful that the ram would again begin to work on 32bit. The ram should be warranted for life. cant it be rutner for new? 64 bit is always harder on hardware.

Guess im going shopping for some new ram soon then, im anyways planning on upgrading to 6-8GB ram since i have 64bit, anyways thanks for your helpful comment
