Solved Errors in my win 7 Home basic

Frndss plz help me....
when i start my lappy den ftr sum couple of minutes 1 small screen gets appeared in which windows installer is written...
it will blink for about 3-4 times nd den it vil disappear......
Again aftr some tym d same procedure gets repeated....
Some times it is showing me d installation of media gallery also.....
and when installation is about to finish den it gives error 2718....
So any1 could resolve my prob plzzzz as soon as possible.....

If this problem just recently started you could possibly restore your computer to an earlier date/time using a restore point. Read and understand the warning, however.

Or you might have damaged/corrupted system files. Run a System File Checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two, this tutorial.) If problems are found run the scan 3 times rebooting in between each scan.

Hey still ma prob is nt solvd.....
Aftr scannnig of corruptd sys files I gt d msg " Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violation " Nd still Prob Persist....
Plzzzz give Sum othr suggestion......

Are you actually getting the OS running ? if so there is a possibility that Windows Installer is not running for some reason.
From the start menu type services.msc in the run box and open it so you can find the service windows installer, right click on it. If it has stopped right click and start it, right click on windows installer and select Properties in the Start-up type select Automatic. This will ensure it is running when the PC starts.

If the Windows Installer is broken you could try re-registering.

1. Click Start > All programs > Accessories
2. Right click command prompt > run as administrator
3. At the command prompt dialog box (black screen, white letters, flashing cursor) type in: msiexec /unreg > enter
4. At new flashing cursor type in: msiexec /regserver > enter
5. Close command prompt dialog box
