Errors while installing games

I have few games borrowed from my friend and was trying to install them all.
I was not able to install 7 out of 10 games. I'm encountering errors.
It will run the install but when it's almost done, accordingly encountered an error, then it will not continue to install.
i forgot what are the errors because they have all the same issue, can't install.
When I tried to run counterstrike 1.8 goiceasoft (one of the games i was able to install), clicked on start, then nothing happens... is there something I need to tweak here in win 7 32 bit?
Run admin but didn't work.
detect issues and followed recommended settings still it didnt' work.

Could you try install something to get the error again - it's crucial to have specific info to be able to tell what's going on, especially since you say they all have the same issue. Take a screenshot or if you can't do that copy down exactly what the errors say.

I tried to play counter strike but after I click on start, same thing, window will fade away and it's not present under task manager.

When I clicked Run as Admin, there's an option to play the game using settings of XP pack2, then after choosing that, firewall is blocking some features and win7 detected "Incompatible Application"...
