Esata Dock Now Recognized after new OS install

Hi,
I just reinstalled my Win7 64 Home Premium OS and now I can not get my Thermaltake
BlacX Duet 5G HDD Docking Station external, HD dock to show. If I go into my device manager it shows "device not configured correctly" and says to update driver. I click on update drive and it shows none available.

I have been to there website and they do no so any available drivers?

I try the online search and ind I get driver was not installed correctly or something like that.


Under the hardware id it shows:

PCIDatabase.com was the place that we went to for decades to decipher the above information. You could search on VEN (Vendor) for #1095, or DEV (Device) for #3132, and it would not only list all drivers which matched those two numbers, but it would give you links to download the drivers. Unfortunately that very helpful site has been down for months.

So instead, I went to Startpage.com and did the following search: "who is VEN_1095" (without the quotes). One of the sites it returned was http://sony-vaio-drivers.blogspot.com/2013/06/. When I went to that site, and searched on "VEN_1095 & DEV_3132", it took me to a post about the Sony Vaio. Apparently "VEN_1095 & DEV_3132" refers to an Intel SATA hard disk controller driver. The fact that this post was about the Sony Vaio tells me that the driver may be for the eSATA port on the laptop. Since you put "eSATA" in the title of this post, it is likely that you need an eSATA driver.

I suggest that you go to the Intel website, and see if there is a SATA (or eSATA) hard disk controller driver.

I went to the Intel website, and this is the only eSATA driver I could find:

I'm not sure if this is the one you need, but it might be. The concern I have is that it is a "RAID" driver, and it is for a "Desktop" board. But it probably wouldn't hurt to install it and see if it solves the problem.

Did you try going to the Intel link I listed and downloading and installing that driver? It won't hurt to install it; if it isn't the correct driver, no harm done.

By the way, it would be helpful for those of us who are trying to assist you if you would list the details of your computer in your Seven Forums profile, so that they would show up under My System Specs.

I assume you have a Sony Vaio laptop with an eSATA port. Is that correct?

Nope not even close, I have a Dell / Alienware Aurora desktop Win7 64bit SP1 Home Premium. I just got of the phone with Thermaltake which got me nowhere. They said that I should just go into my device manager and update the driver online from my ata which does nothing as it shoes no update available.

FWIW the dock does work fine when I just use the USB so the hd and dock do work, its just the sata that does not.

Next they said that they should update my chipset (how)? How would I do that?

I did go into my Dell and DL all the drivers for sata and that did nothing. Also went into my bios which I really did not understand what to do but I did see that the ACHI was enabled??

I did DL the intel RSt and that did not help
