Windows ultimate,updates fail.
Using Eset but gives this message
Verify you have installed Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) with latest Windows updates (at least KB4474419 and KB4490628).
Is there any way around this please.

How long ago did you install Windows 7 Ultimate in your computer, and did it include Service Pack 1?

After you do a clean install of Windows 7 Service Pack 1, you need to install these updates:
KB4474419
KB4490628
KB3125574
before proceeding any further.

The Windows Update app should work fine afterwards.

Are you doing a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate with or without Service Pack 1 included in it?

There seems to be an issue with the catalog. Pick a "Windows 7" one with a file size...

Hi Fahl,

Might as well turn off windows update, only users with the extended OS are getting them.

Not sure if simplex is getting updated.

Yes running Simplix occasionally is a good idea. I am not sure there is any need to turn off windows update. It is not impossible MS could issue an urgent security fix, it wouldn't be the first time.

Simplix is a good tool, it had updated 5 hotfixes from 2017 (which wasn't really necessary), but the downside at reboot it has install the patch Tuesday KBs from May 2020 and leaded me too a temporary profile as I had already been through with the Bypass method, which let me think there's the bypass hack inside the latest simplix. A restore point was the last to do to get back to normal situation.
