Hi guys.
My friend told me that his network doesn't work anymore.
He used usb wifi card recently, tried the ethernet after it and simply got this (on pictures).
I told him maybe it's the cable issue, but the cable works okay with his laptop.
As you can see there is no X in device manager, and there is only exclamation mark on network icon (in icon next to clock).
How do we resolve this?
Same cable tried on TV and laptop, works normally.
Here are some pics he sent me.

Your one screenshot states "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding."

Are your DNS setting still the same?

Did you make a restore point or backup before you installed new hardware?

How to check your DNS settings
  1. Click on Start, select Control Panel then double click on Network Connections.
  2. Right-click on the network connection in use and select Properties.
  3. Double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
  4. Make sure “Obtain an IP address automatically” is selected.
  5. Make sure "Obtain DNS server address automatically" is selected.
