ethernet or wireless stay on when computer is sleeping

is there a way to keep the network adapters such as my wireless and ethernet on even when my computer is in sleep mode? I am sharing internet with another computer. Just want to find out if I can do that because when im not home i like to keep it sleeping. Is this possible?

Nope, not for what you want to do. If your computer is sharing a connection to another computer, your computer has to stay powered up. Buy a router, and both computers can have internet access and not depend on the other.
