Good morning,

For the record my computer is a HP 64-bitPavilion p7-1157c AMD A6-3600 APU w/Radeon ™ HD Graphics, 2.10GHz, 8 GBs of Memory, Win 7 Pro SP1, IE 9, Comodo Internet Security Suite, SuperAntiSpyware Pro, Trojan Hunter, Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Spyware Blaster and Windows Defender.

My wife uses Firefox as her browser and I use IE9, both on this computer. I just noticed that everytime she starts Firefox the following entry is recorded in Event Viewer. Any ideas what causes it and how to stop the entry from being entered in Event Viewer?

Faulting application name: firefox.exe, version: 19.0.2.4814, time stamp: 0x5138a1d3
Faulting module name: xul.dll, version: 19.0.2.4814, time stamp: 0x5138a0ed
Exception code: 0xc0000005

That error can be caused when extensions do not unload when FF is closed. Can you confirm whether it is being logged when opening FF, or when closing it? You might try running firefox with extensions disabled and see if the error reoccurs.

Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode | Firefox Help

If everything is working correctly, I might add to not worry about it ;)

Morning A Guy,

I appreciate your response.

It seems to happen everytime my wife opens Firefox. However, this morning it made a 'lier' out of me and the error didn't show up in event viewer.

Everything seems to be working okay so right now that is not a problem.

I will try what you suggested later today after returning from Sunday services and post back with my results.

Thanks and regards,
