So, about three days ago I did two things to my computer and have not had anymore 6008 errors.
1) I disabled USB suspend mode in my power options and
2) I created a shutdown shortcut on my desktop.

This means it's software right? I have not tested each by itself so I am not sure which one it is, but, if it is number 2, why wouldn't the normal shutdown feature work?

Could be software, or PSU. No way to tell without testing the PSU.

If it is the psu, could I live with it because I just bought it?

If you have another computer that you can swap the PSU out of, you can use it to test.

So, say I put this PSU in another computer and I get 6008 errors. Would that just mean I got one that is defective?

If the error moves to the new computer with the psu the problem is the psu.

If it does not it isnt.

Is there any other way to test this because I don't have another desktop...or is it that big of an issue?

It recommended a PSU of 565 watts and I have a 650.

Just an estimate, and other factors come into play (ie if your line voltage (what comes out of the wall) is less than 120) and having a little more may not be enough

I think I'll just live with it. I can't return it and I don't have enough to get a new one. I haven't had any other issues so that's good. I did start shutting down normally(no shortcut) and 6008 is gone so I think it is usb suspend mode, but I don't know why.

Why would usb suspend mode be doing this? Can it be fixed?

So...its been about 10 days without a 6008 error. I've been using the shutdown shortcut and usb suspend mode is turned off. Well, all of a sudden, I got a 6008 error yesterday. I guess I find it odd that they went away the same day I made those changes and I don't understand why they came back. Any ideas?

So I haven't had any issues with my pc anymore, but this 6008 is still coming up. I really dont care anymore since my pc is working fine. But I wanted to throw one last thing out there. This 6008 error used to happen every day when I shutdown, but now it is very inconsistent. Does this mean anything?
