Every browser causes W7 Home Premium to hang, but not in the Safe Mode

Hello.
I am new in this community and have some problems I don't understand why they come up lately. I uses Mozilla FF and Internet explorer and Google Chrome, Mozilla FF is my preferred browser. When I try to open a browser Windows 7 hangs, mouse and keyboard are dead. I restart my system in Safe Mode and all these browsers functions as normall as ever. Once again restart in normal mode but FF, IE and GC cause Windows7 hanging.
How can I find out what it is that obstructs the normall functionality of these browser in Normal Mode and not in Safe Mode?
Of course I made clean restarts every time to figure out if some of the services are the source, but to no avail

Just a thought because it seem to affect all browsers.

I have never used G Data but I do suggest checking the setting in G Data.
You could disable G Data and see if the problem goes away.
Don't forget to enable G Data after testing.

Thanks for your quick answer. Your suggestion generated some doubts. I have made some clean reboots, so all the services have been unchecked but for the Windows services of course. Isn't that enough or do I have to do some more to disable G Data? And is the answer is yes, how can I do that?

Well some security programs will not let you disable them unless your in Safe Mode.

My first choice would be go to msconfig and uncheck them in the Startup and in Services then reboot.
Some times it will be in the settings in the anti virus program. It varies from program to program.

Always restart you security programs when done testing.

I found it very interesting (=strange) that in the Safe mode all the mentioned browsers are working perfectly fine. So that points to one of the services or programs as the cause. As a matter of fact I had to install a new version of G Data because of a license renewal. Never had any problems before. I'll let you know what the effect was of your proposal.

G Data aside, what security programs are you referring to?

Any security programs you are running active.
I run two active. MSE and Malwarebytes.
They work well together. Like I said I know nothing of G-Data.
I haven't see anybody that uses G-Data but I will go back to the ranch and ask for someone to help you.

Here is what I've tried since our last conversation:
1. Deleted G Data with their own uninstaller, unchecked all the services, reboot in safe mode. Result: No problems with all browsers at all
2. Reboot in normal mode, installed G Data without Firewall functionality (as advised by their support dep.), Reboot to activate changes not possible so I had to Hard Reset then Reboot in normal mode Result: G Data active, browsers causes Windows to hang.
3. Hard reset then reboot in normal mode, unchecked the G Data services with msconfig.exe. Result: No problems with all browsers at all. No system hang.
4Hard reset to shut down not necessary, reboot in normal mode. No virusprotection! Result: No problems with all browsers at all. No system hang.

So here is where I am.

If it was me, I would remove G-Data using their online tool.
Then install MSE from Microsoft and see how things work.

I am not real sure of what is needed but you have G Data and want to remove it if so do as Jack says and use the tool. You can check the registry afterwards to see if all bits are gone but only if you are as pedantic as I am because I know for a fact that the Norton removal tool does leave behind entries in the registry for Symantec (They make Norton as far as I know).

Now if you are looking for a virus if the browsers are all involved why not try a run with this Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10



It is interesting to know this because Firefox has just upped its game in it's features have you tried it??
