Every folder freezes

KK... I've been using Windows 7 for a very long time, and recently... I changed my personalization configuration to non-aero. Whenever I click on a folder or anything in that category, the window freezes up, and is named "Windows Explorer". I can't X it out, so I have to use task manager to get rid of it.

I can't access My Computer or My documents. Nor can I change back to an aero theme because whenever I click Personalization or Control Panel, it'll show up as "Windows Explorer". Someone please help...
