OK, mines a desk, I already have 2x 500GB WD C Blacks in it and I'm going to add a 1TB C Black real soon.

When I add the SSD I'll be back to booting 4 OSs again. and I'm fixing to start playing with 2008 R2 again.

Not to mention, I can quickly take snapshots and backups of my virtual hard drive files...which makes testing, learning and writing documentation an absolute breeze.

I would utilize them 100% if they had full GPU Acceleration (or full GPU feature sets provided by a NVIDIA/ATI driver)

I know this is asking for a bit much but hopefully one of the VMs will be able to achieve this in the coming months/years

I'm not aware of any VM solution that currently offers full 3d capabilities in the guest. I think that Sun's Virtualbox is the closest...but it's still not significant enough to run aero and such.

I guess I'm unsure why people would need full 3d capabilities across 2 of more machines in a dual boot. Can people not just play their games and such in the 1 machine...and experiment and play with other stuff in the VM's? I mean, is there a good reason to need to run Windows Server 2008 (to learn about servers), but need to have full 3D support to do that?

I have a couple of cherished games that refuse to run on 7...

You aren't suggesting that somebody "pirate" a copy of a vmware product to get 3d support are you? Seriously, if these games are so cherished...why not purchase a copy of vmware or download a trial from vmware.com directly?

Err...I didn't realize that VMWare offered trials for the Workstation

Seriously I have never been to their site...I guess I never thought about it. Thanks for the tip!

BTW I didn't run the keygen they had for it...I am not that way anymore, I just wanted to see if Workstation 7 would work for me
