Evil dust bunnies

I have had my laptop for a little over 6 months, have cleaned it twice. Yesterday while sitting idle my laptop reached 100 C I took a can of air to the vents and held it there and a major dust bunny came out. Now my laptop even playing heavy games only reaches 75 C and normal idle now sits at 48C I am so happy but I think we need an evil dust bunny catcher so that they don't get in there again LOL.

I was a paycheck away from buying a new laptop and selling this one so I could stop the madness of the heat, now that I know the "radiator" gets clogged up easy I can be happy with my laptop again and start enjoying windows 7.

So anyone with a laptop clean those vents and "radiator" out often so you don't burn out your machine.

friend of mine got me a laptop desk that has fold out legs and can be used as a bed table and even has a spot for a mouse. How that dust bunny got into the laptop is not clear. I had to take the laptop apart to add quick silver to the heatsink of the video chip and I fully cleaned the fan and "radiator" when I put it back together is was fine. We kept it off the bed since the intake is on the bottom.

how so much dust got into the fines is beyond me, it looked like 20 months of not cleaning a PC when it all came out the intake.

When it comes to my laptops anyway I baby them, I got very upset when I got a small (meaning I had to really loook for it) scratch on the lid. Got to order a skin for it soon have to protect this laptop now that I have windows 7 and enjoy using it.

I have thought about a cooling pad, put the intake for my fan is in the corner near the screen on the bottom. Its very easy to block it which happens all the time when its on my lap. Who ever thought the intake would be best on the bottom near the edge just wasn't thinking that people might really want to use this on their lap.

I have been thinking about chemical coolant instead of air. Its used in desktops today and I think they could improve the cooling system in laptops with some type of chemical that could transfer the heat away from the CPU and GPU. Just not sure how to make the mini pump LOL.

could be an interesting project if none of the major manufactures haven't developed something that hasn't been released yet.

no matter if I have a laptop or desktop I always cleaned my computers at least once a month, I would break down my towers since I am a smoker and had other smokers in the home I would clean everything.

I had a few friends who never cleaned their desktops and wow years of no cleaning and being a smoker really gets nasty inside a tower.
