Excel 2010 sorting

Hi is it possible to lock columns and rows together so when i sort a spreadsheet i make sure all the rows and columns are sorted together and i dont leave out somthing

Yes - highlight all the data by selecting all the columns, or highlighting all the data before sorting.

Ok thanks thats what i do now but if i am not carefull and i miss something it makes a mess of the spreadsheet, i was woundering if it could be sorted without me having to select the data, say some sort of a macro, but i dont know how to do it.

Also i dont always want to sort the whole spreadsheet just some of the rows and some of the columns.

Mmmm. I'm afraid I cant help you there. The Sort usually requires you to select the cells first. Perhaps some sort of VB script would do the trick....unfortuanetly thats beyond me.

Let us know if you find a method....
