Solved Excel Problem

Hi, a client sent me a file named "data.bin". It contains an excel spreadsheet, but excel (2010) opens it and apart of its name everything appears in code kind off. So I am pretty confused. Tried everything to access the data. No success, I tried: isobuster, imgburn, alcohol, nada.
Is there a way to let check the file online? Any ideas are welcome....

ask the client to resend it as an excel file?

Yeah, I did, but he is in another time zone and probably sleeping now I want to resolve it before to continue the task for what I need the data.....

Solved, the error was with gmail....
